I’m a far better researcher than content creator, and I believe in working smarter not harder. The internet is already full of great how to’s, I’ve waded through the content for you, so you can recreate or elevate your style at home.

This is a curated collection of some well done, easy to follow, styling tutorials.

Practice when you’re not in a hurry, skip the low spoon days, and well in advance of any major event.

It may feel awkward, and possibly even turn out a little funky on your first try. That’s OK!

Be Patient with yourself, it takes a bit of practice to learn any new skill.

I recommend watching through the tutorials first, then going back following along, pause as needed.

8 Tips for Curly Hair : JVN

Curl Basics

Beginner

How to Diffuse Curls

The same principals apply to air drying curls, just skip the heat, and do not disturb until dry. You can also air dry until 70% or so and speed it up the rest of the way with the diffuser.

* I do not recommend leaving your hair wet for extended periods. The “longest” you should let your hair stay wet is ideally just a few hours; it’s also best to try to dry your hair completely before going to sleep to minimize the risk of breakage and scalp irritation from prolonged wetness.
